We are now in our 8th year of the WITH(e)R CUP, Synapse's famed winter commuting challenge! Started by Synapse in Seattle in 2011 and expanded world wide in 2016 to include our colleagues at Cambridge Consultants.
Here's the deal: Getting to work under your own steam is pretty awesome, however when the weather starts to turn to crap, sometimes it can be a little, well, challenging to come up with the strength to strap on your shoes or straddle your bike, squint into the driving rain, and slog your way on in.
The WITH(e)R CUP is your motivation - that little pin in the bum - on those gross days when it's cold or wet - or worse, snowing, GASP! - to bike, run, or walk to work.
For each commute, you earn points, nearly equivalent in value to a bitcoin, that will earn you respect and admiration from yourself and maybe some other people. It's pretty great!
Back by popular demand, is the ability to enter rides directly through the web site. You will still need a Strava account for logging in, but have the choice of logging your rides through Strava or through the Log Trip page.
First and foremost, it's a chance for everlasting glory!
Second, you get some exercise, which some doctors say is good for you (I know I know, doctors used to say that smoking was also good for you, but they're probably right on this one.)
